Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Feedback Notes ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the service.
Feedback Notes is a personal-use tool. You are solely responsible for what you choose to submit. Do not include protected, sensitive, or classified information about any individual. We have no visibility into what narratives you submit and take no responsibility for your decision to share any particular information with a third-party AI service.
1. What We Collect
We collect the minimum information necessary to operate the service:
- Account information: Your email address and encrypted password, used for authentication.
- Usage data: A count of how many notes you've generated in the current billing month. No note content is retained.
- Subscription data: Your plan, billing interval, and subscription status, managed through Stripe.
2. What We Do Not Collect
We do not store the narrative text you submit or the notes generated for you. Your input is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the note and is not logged or retained on our servers beyond the duration of that request.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and maintain your session
- To enforce your monthly note limit based on your subscription plan
- To manage billing and subscription status through Stripe
- To send you notes by email when you request it (via Resend)
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:
- Anthropic (Claude AI): Processes your narrative input to generate notes. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
- Supabase: Stores account and usage data. Subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy.
- Stripe: Processes payments and manages subscriptions. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Resend: Delivers email when you use the "Email to me" feature. Subject to Resend's Privacy Policy.
5. Data Retention
Your account and usage data are retained for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your data within 30 days upon request.
6. Security
Passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext. Data in transit is protected by HTTPS. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no system is perfectly secure.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at support@feedbacknotes.ca. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
